About Us

Sinde Macadamia Farm

OUR STORY

Originally owned by the Lossaco family since the 1950s as a working tobacco farm, the farm has grown various crops over the decades. In 2012, the Lossaco family along with their cousins came together to transform it into a sustainable macadamia farm.

United by a shared vision of environmental stewardship, together, we are committed to farming in harmony with nature and contributing to the local economy. Our mission is to lead by example in sustainable agricultural practices while exporting high-quality macadamia nuts.

Sindemisale, Vubwi, Zambia

Situated in Zambia’s eastern province, Sindemisale is nestled in the rural Vubwi district, a region known for its gentle hills and fertile terrain. The farm’s location, surrounded by natural miombo woodlands and supported by seasonal rivers, offers excellent conditions for growing macadamia nuts. Sindemisale’s peaceful environment, shaped by the hardworking local communities and favorable climate, aligns with our commitment to sustainable farming. Here, we not only cultivate macadamias but also work to preserve the unique ecosystems that make this corner of Zambia so special.

Sustainable Farming in Harmony with Nature and Community

At Sindemisale, our commitment to sustainability is grounded in the well-being of our employees and the protection of the natural environment. We strive to balance productive farming with the preservation of the forests on our land, contributing to our carbon-neutral goals. By fostering harmony between our macadamia orchards and the surrounding flora and fauna, we ensure that our operations benefit both nature and the local community.

Enhancing Agriculture Through Water and Wildlife Conservation

Water is a precious resource, and at Sindemisale, we have invested in dams to secure optimal irrigation for our crops, while also supporting local wildlife and nearby communities. Our large-scale apiary not only aids pollination for our macadamia trees but also supports bee populations within the surrounding forests. By nurturing this delicate balance between nature and agriculture, we ensure the long-term health of our land, the well-being of our employees, and the prosperity of the surrounding ecosystems.
